Evie: This is all I need out of all my Pairs programs, an excuse to bop.
Niamh: Nothing else, just a bop.
Evie: Just bops, baby.
Niamh: [Laughs] No pops, just bops.
Evie: Honestly, I would like to see a Flight of the Valkyries but Flight of the Zambonis, just a bunch of them cresting over a hill - [cue the music]
Becs: That's the epic we need to produce!
Evie: Coming this summer “The Flight of the Zambonis.” [music swells] One Zamboni driver against the World!
Becs: Sounds about right.
This year’s Canadian Nationals were held in Mississauga, Ontario and luckily for me, it was only a province away so I thought why not go and support the skaters that represent my country. Unfortunately, I had to miss out on the junior competitions that happened earlier in the week (cries in junior ice dance 😭) but I was happy that I could at least watch the entirety of the senior events
Tilda: Speaking of quirky, I want to give a shout out to [Elizaveta] Pasechnik and [Egor] Kolosovskii for their "Jungle Book" Rhythm Dance. That was a lot of fun! I have to admit, I went "Jungle Book!?!" when Ted announced it.
Kat: Yeah, it was really fun and they skated it really well too! And honestly, I am here for teams that go a little bit out of the box with the musical theme style.
French Fed™ strikes again.
As some of you may know, IDF is held in Grenoble, a city in the Southeast of France by the foot of the French Alps. Also known as a city with very little direct transport, which for someone as chaotically uncapable of simple day-to-day tasks without either making myself, or everyone who has ever came into contact with me, panic for my safety causes a lot of dramatic mishaps.
