Announcements

  • Olympic Champion Alina Zagitova (RUS) withdrew from Ondrej Nepela Trophy due to visa issues. She is now scheduled to compete at Nebelhorn Trophy next week (source 1, 2).

  • Korean Ice Dancer Yura Min has formed a new partnership with 2014 Four Continents Bronze medallist Daniel Eaton. We wish the new team all the best for the upcoming season! (source)

  • Tomoe Kawabata (JPN) and Rion Sumiyoshi (JPN) have been assigned to JGP Ljubljana Cup (source)

  • Yuhana Yokoi (JPN) and Yuma Kagiyama (JPN) have been assigned to JGP Armenian Cup (source 1, 2).

  • There have been many updates to the entries on the 2018-19 Grand Prix.

    • Ice Dancers Robynne Tweedale/Joseph Buckland (GBR) have been assigned to Skate America.

    • Sofia Samadurova (RUS), and Ice Dance team Annabelle Morozov/Andrei Bagin (RUS) have been assigned to Rostelecom Cup.

    • Kevin Aymoz (FRA), Lea Serne (FRA), and Ice Dance team Adelina Galayieva/Louis Thauron (FRA) have been assigned to Internationaux de France.

    • Pairs team Lola Esbert/Andrei Novoselov (FRA) have withdrawn from Internationaux de France.

Ondrej Nepela Trophy (September 20-22)

  • Ladies - 1st: Rika Kihira (JPN), 2nd: Elizabet Tursynbaeva (KAZ), 3rd: Stanislava Konstantinova (RUS)
    Rika Kihira successfully landed a 3A+3T combination in her free program, making her the first senior lady ever to do so.

  • Pairs - 1st: Ashley Cain/Timothy LeDuc (USA), 2nd: Deanna Stellato/Nathan Bartholomay (USA), 3rd: Lina Khudriavtseva/Ilia Spiridonov (RUS)

Skaters

  • Many members of the ITL team were present at ACI this weekend, and they had a lot of fun camping out early in the morning for good seats. They were very lucky to meet JGP and ACI commentator, and part-time camera operator, Ted Barton!

  • Shae-Lynn Bourne was interviewed by PJ Kwong about choreographing Yuzuru Hanyu’s new free program “Origin.”
